Audiointerview with Freifunk

Most of the information about Freifunk is unhappily only available in german language.

Now, at the Chaos Communication Camp 2007 near Berlin, a polish Blogger was interviewing us - some people from Freifunk Leipzig, Sundhausen and Berlin - during our own weekly FM-Radioshow in english. The interview is converted to mp3 and available via Streaming (part2) or Download.

Free Network Initiatives from different parts of Europe meet to share expieriences and to discuss about collective projects and visions. Another focus will be recent developements in mesh routing protocolls. Developers of several Projects will report about the latest research findings and encourage discussion. 15th - 16th September 2007, 14-22h If there are attendees that don’t speak fluent german the lectures will be held in english.

Dorkcamp07 is a dorkbot camp on the south coast of England, a shortish journey from London.

We’ll be taking over an entire scout camp this year, which will include indoor workshop space, hot showers, proper toilets, indoor bunks and outdoor camping in beautiful surroundings.

There’ll be a range of workshops, presentations and performances, and a customary burn at the end. We’ll be doing plenty of soldering and hacking, but also non-electrical crafts such as jam making, felt making, taxidermy and burning. All activities and workshops will be free of charge, although some may require a contribution towards the cost of materials.

If you would to contribute to, or organise, a workshop, presentation or other activity, please either let us know or add details to the wiki and chat about it on the discussion list. Please also add your name to any of the areas you would like to participate in, such as workshops, and areas you can help out with, such as cooking.
